I must first of all note my error in the information I provided in a previous edition, in that our 2026 Men’s Singles Champion is in fact Barry Chatel, with Dave Barthlomeusz being our prior champion.
So my apologies again to Barry for my proofing failure.
The most exciting news at the moment is Tamborine Mountain High School’s participation in the Queensland Secondary Schools Cup with the assistance of our Bowling Club.
Our Mountain was capably represented by Lennox and Austin, who managed to secure a livestream game to satisfy those at home and we trust they benefited greatly from the experience.
Saturday morning ladies have continued to flourish, so please feel free to come along for some exercise, fun and giggles while honing a new skill – every Saturday at 11am.
Whilst we have not been setting the world alight with our pennant results, we have managed to secure fifth spot in preparation for our final assault over the next couple of weeks to jump up the ladder and gain a finals berth – from there, all is possible.
Our final marquee event for the year, the Taipans Triples Tournament, is on Saturday October 3 and entries are coming in fast, so make sure you secure your team’s spot as soon as you can.
