Tamborine Mountain and Tamborine residents were treated to an belated Christmas at the Christmas in July event held at Tamborine Memorial Hall.
The fun-filled afternoon was held to celebrate community spirit and honour those who worked tirelessly over the Christmas and New Year period in the aftermath of the tornado.
Not-for-profit children’s organisation, Leadership Under the Stars hosted the free event which had something for all ages, including live music, food, games, face painting and even presents for the children.
Organisers said it was a wonderful chance to acknowledge the hard work of so many volunteers, while also bringing cheer to those whose Christmas’ were affected and those still doing it tough.
