A REPORT examining the Tamborine Mountain district’s readiness to face impending natural disasters and hazards will be presented at a free public meeting on Saturday, July 6.
The report was compiled by Queensland University of Technology student and local Tamborine resident Clare Wray over a three month period.
It was the final report she did for her MBA and she is now keen to share her findings with local residents hoping it may better prepare them for future emergencies.
The agenda for the event includes results from the research into recent events on Tamborine Mountain as well as suggested actions for the community to put in place for the future.
Clare said it was important to note that the meeting would not provide either a disaster management plan, the application of fault during the most recent event or provide a silver bullet solution to improving local emergency resilience
