There’s something good about the start of a cricket season, and ours is nearly here. Registration is now open, and we’d love to see some new, old and returning faces this year – whether you’ve been playing for decades or have never so much as picked up a bat.
If you’ve never picked up a bat, please don’t let that put you off. Some of our best club members came in with zero experience and found their feet in no time. You’ll be supported to find your feet (the grip, where to field, bowling) and there’s not a chance anyone will give you stick for a dropped catch – we’ve all been there more times than we’d care to admit.
If you already know your way around a crease, come and have a chat. We’ve got competitive grades and openings in the senior and junior sides, and we could really do with a few good players to round out the squad. Whatever your strengths – top-order batting, quick bowling, safe hands in the field – there’s a place for you.
We’re also really proud of our women’s side, and we’re hoping to see it grow. Seasoned or starting from scratch, you’ll be welcomed just the same and find yourself among a wonderful group of women. If it’s been in the back of your mind, take this as the nudge to give it a go.
More than anything, though, it’s a lovely way to spend your weekend. Games usually run Saturday mornings for Juniors, afternoons for open grades and Sundays for Women’s and Masters. We have midweek training for those who want it, so you can be as involved as you like. Fresh air, a hit of the ball, and good company – that’s the heart of it.
We’ve got teams for all ages, juniors right through to seniors, and social competitions for anyone who prefers to keep things relaxed.

Bring someone along and come and have a go – we’ll be glad to see you.
