I noticed this fragrant plant on a morning walk at the end of May.
It flowers in Autumn, brightening the season. It was growing at the entrance to a drive.
The plant is an evergreen, is native to the Himalayas and reaches a height of three metres.
The attractive flowers have a hint of pink. In one of them, a minute spider, hardly larger than the head of a pin, was lurking in the folds of a petal.
