Imagine walking over a carpet of pink petals, of everything coming to life after a dark cold winter. Walk down the avenues of cherry blossom trees that line the babbling streams. This is what we have come to expect of Japan in the northern spring.
Last year I visited Japan for the first time. What a treat, I really loved the entire experience. This civilised ordered country is a joy to travel in – the people are polite and courteous and the environment pristine and clean. Spring and autumn are the times to be in Japan, the weather is usually delightful not too hot nor too cold and the gardens are ablaze with spring flowers or autumnal leaves.
My trip inspired me to gather together a few like minded people to explore further afield in Japan. My small group trips are a maximum 12 people, solos, couple and friends are welcome to join us. The itinerary visits bustling Tokyo, Takayama in the Japanese alps, Kanazawa in the north, elegant Kyoto and the food capital Osaka.
We will stay in good hotels throughout with comfortable rooms. Anyone who has visited Japan will understand how small hotel rooms can be! I have purposefully booked rooms at quality hotels which are more comfortable. Think of the elegant Tokyo station hotel, regal on the outside and elegant to stay in. Transfers and sightseeing are all included. Breakfast daily and one other meal, either lunch or dinner is also included.
As a small group I have been able to design this trip specifically for us. Experienced local guides will share their knowledge of the history, art and culture. We will delight in local meals visiting producers and smaller restaurants. We will immerse ourselves in what Japan has to offer.
