Tamborine Mountain Dance Academy students have returned from the Beenleigh Eisteddfod with a string of accolades, highlighting both their talent and the dedication they’ve shown throughout the year.
The academy’s young performers achieved top results in several small group categories. They claimed first place in both the 10 Years and Under Jazz and 10 Years and Under Lyrical/Classical Ballet sections, while the 12 Years and Under Jazz group also took out first place in their category.
The 12 Years and Under Contemporary group placed third.
In a major highlight, the 10 Years and Under Jazz group secured the overall Jazz Championship title.
Tamborine Mountain Dance Academy Principal Poppy-Jane Todd said the success was the result of many months of preparation.
“Every one of our students has worked incredibly hard in the lead-up to this competition, and I was so glad to see their efforts recognised in such a competitive event, among many other dance schools from the Gold Coast and Brisbane,” she said.
“My fellow teachers and I are immensely proud of not only the results but also the professionalism and passion that sets our dancers apart and allows them to continue to excel.”
