A CELEBRATION of stories and imagination took centre stage at St Bernard State School on August 28 as students, staff, and families joined together for the annual Book Week character parade.
This year’s national theme, “Book an Adventure!”, inspired by artist Jess McGeachin, set the tone for a morning filled with imagination, laughter, and literary fun.
From classic fairytale figures to modern-day heroes, students dressed as their favourite book characters and paraded proudly through the Long Road school grounds.
As part of the festivities, classrooms competed in the much-loved Class Door Competition, showcasing vibrant displays inspired by books.
This year’s winning honours went to 5/6M, who impressed judges with their collaborative creation.
