The Scenic Rim’s rolling hills and vibrant communities will once again become the stage for one of Queensland’s most anticipated cultural celebrations when QLD Music Trails – The Scenic Rim returns from 31 October to 9 November 2025.
Back for its third year, The Scenic Rim Trail unfolds across three events that turn showgrounds, vineyards and gardens into venues for unforgettable gatherings of music, food and community.
At the heart of The Scenic Rim Trail is The Long Sunset (31 October – 2 November), a three-day festival that transforms Boonah Showgrounds into a playground of live music, art and culture under open skies.
Headlined by beloved indie heavyweights Boy & Bear and alt-pop powerhouse Vera Blue, the lineup spans fan favourites and rising stars including Gretta Ray, The Buoys, Jem Cassar-Daley, Playlunch, Tjaka, Bunny Racket and more.
Also joining the 2025 lineup are Paper Lane and Silk ‘N’ Oak, winners of our audience-powered Win a Spot competition, as well Rage Cage made up of students from Boonah State High School. These three local acts captured the hearts of our online community and earned their place on the festival stage.
From line-dancing, circus performances and silent discos to morning yoga, artisan workshops and roving performers, every corner of the festival grounds promises a new discovery. Festivalgoers can soak up golden hour with friends and revel in a weekend of creativity and connection.
Sprout & About (2 November) brings a wholesome day of community, culture and connection to the lush surrounds of Kooralbyn Permaculture Garden. Co-created with members of the Kooralbyn Community Group Inc., the event will offer a day where families can enjoy music from Amy John Roberts, workshops from local growers and makers, hands-on kids’ activities and storytelling with Mununjali Elders, making it an outing that blends sustainability, play and cultural knowledge.
Between the Vines (9 November) offers a laid-back Sunday session at O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards, where Scenic Rim local Clea and soulful favourite Alisha Todd provide the soundtrack. Guests can sip award-winning local wines, feast on gourmet hampers and even wander over to meet friendly alpacas at neighbouring Mountview Alpaca Farm, all against the stunning backdrop of the Canungra Valley.
QMF CEO Daryl Raven said QLD Music Trails were about creating unforgettable music tourism experiences in some of Queensland’s most beautiful regions.
“The spirit of destination discovery and social connection is part of what makes QLD Music Trails so memorable and why they are fast becoming some of Queensland’s most anticipated events,” Raven said.
“The Scenic Rim Trail is more than a music festival; it’s an escape that offers music lovers, locals and travellers an easy-going choose-your-own-adventure musical experience.

Scenic Rim Regional Council Mayor Tom Sharp said the Trail was an opportunity for visitors to experience the region as music meets nature.
“The Scenic Rim is one of the most breathtaking locations in the world and QLD Music Trails gives audiences the chance to experience it through the eyes of locals and to the soundtrack of worldclass music,” Mayor Sharp said.
“Whether you’re tasting our food and wine, walking our trails or listening to incredible music against spectacular backdrops, you will connect with music, nature and community.”
As a cornerstone of QLD Music Trails, the Scenic Rim Trail reflects the vision to connect audiences with music, culture and place across Queensland. Since launching in 2023, the Trails have generated global acclaim, boosted tourism and delivered unforgettable cultural experiences, from the vineyards and valleys of the Scenic Rim to the coast and the outback.
Onsite camping tickets are sold out but a fresh release of tickets that include return bus transfers from Brisbane and the Gold Coast have just been added and plenty of parking is available onsite for day trippers.
