LOCAL musician Indy Clark has been strumming his guitar for 35 years trying to reach the highest heights he has always aimed for in the entertainment industry.
Indy is well known in the Tamborine Mountain district having performed regularly in local cafes and restaurants and at Fires on Top of Mountains and the Arts Ablaze celebrations.
The English born songwriter and singer moved to the district 20 years ago after enjoying wide spread recognition in London with the band Expressions.
The band featured in London performing at legendary venues such as the Hope and Anchor in Islington and The Monarch at Camden.
When the band split up in 2000 Indy continued his career in London for a short while before packing up and moving Down Under.
He is now preparing a new show he’s titled ‘Good Songs: Bad Luck’ for three performances to be staged during the Brisbane Anywhere Festival.
He said the heart of his new show were original songs and unfortunate stories that deserved to be heard.
“These songs provide the soundtrack for a coming-to-terms-with all of those times when something didn’t happen; when the coin toss didn’t go your way, or you lost the coin, or, more often than not, some thieving swine nicked it.
“ I’ve travelled the music road of almost making it in the industry now for 35 years, 35 and counting.”
