Tamborine Mountain Little Theatre invites you all to a high society dinner party coming to the Zamia Theatre.
Your hosts, two wealthy flatmates, Maxine and Phillipa, will greet you upon arrival with a glass of champagne to help celebrate … an immaculate murder.
Yes, the killing of their college friend, a murder inspired by Nietzsche’s superman theory, the concept that some people are intellectually superior to others.
And you will be joined by the dead man’s father, aunt and girlfriend while dinner is to be served from the burial chest where the body has been hidden.
Does that sound macabre?
Not if you are the guest innocently unaware of its contents.
This theatre production is based on Alfred Hitchcock’s brilliantly tense 1948 classic film ROPE, the play of which was originally penned by Patrick Hamilton in 1929 and inspired by the real-life Leopold and Loeb murder from the 1920’s.
