THE sun came out to shine for the ‘Show After the Blow’ Tamborine Mountain Community Celebration
The event was held in lieu of the annual Tamborine Mountain Show, cancelled due to damage to the grounds caused by Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
It was a festive day of live music, eating competitions, jumping castles, line dancing and disaster awareness displays.
Many new residents welcomed the disaster packs and shared stories of coping during the cyclone with the disaster groups, including one family who arrived at their new home just four hours before the cyclone struck.
