After ten years on Tamborine Mountain, Design Artisan is opening its doors to local projects.
Ten years ago, Russell Winnett and Tamara Eyles left Yeppoon in Central Queensland for the magic of Tamborine Mountain.
They were attracted to a village lifestyle with easy access to the city, to raise a family and run their residential design business.
For more than 20 years, Design Artisan has worked with a select network of licensed builders across Queensland and interstate, translating ideas from world travel into homes as beautiful as they are considered, each as individual as its owners.
“A decade on, we’re not sure we’ve earned the right to call ourselves locals just yet,” Tamara laughs.
“Our kids are growing up here, attend school here, and the mountain is genuinely home.”
For most of the last decade, Design Artisan’s local work has been limited to a handful of projects for friends.
That is changing, with the studio now welcoming homeowners across the Scenic Rim wanting to create something exceptional.
“Whether it’s a unique new home or transforming an existing property into something special, we don’t do the everyday,” Russell said.
“Something magical can always be achieved within the same budget.
“It all comes down to design.”
Design Artisan’s portfolio spans more than 60 years of combined design experience, from prestige homes to residential developments, heritage properties and commercial projects.
One close to home is SOL Elements at Tamborine Mountain Glades, designed with Russ and Shae Raven.
The Design Artisan team congratulated Russ and Shae on the one-year anniversary of this unique wellness centre which continues to attract national and international commendation.
“We knew we needed a team that didn’t have restrictions in design, where anything was possible,” said Russ, Founder of SOL Elements.
“With their experience and our creativity, we came up with SOL Elements, Australia’s first and only floating bathhouse.”
For homeowners across the Scenic Rim, that means the same national experience, local planning knowledge and established engineering connections, working alongside a builder of their choice.
A decade on, Design Artisan is ready to bring that same magic home.
