No need to leave the Scenic Rim
FOR many who live a distance away from the Brisbane or Gold Coast central restaurant districts the search for a first class venue for a special occasion is a difficult one.
If you decide to make the long trip you have to hope that the reputation of the restaurant you have chosen lives up to its billing.
Then you also have to be prepared for the long drive home.
Those living in the Scenic Rim are fortunate to be able to book in at some excellent venues locally and you can find one of the best at Beechmont Estate on Binna Burra Road.
The estate, which is set on a 75 acre property neighbouring the Gondwana Rainforest, is home to The Paddock restaurant.
Recently named in the prestigious Delicious Top 100, it offers a refined yet relaxed paddock-to-plate dining experience led by Executive Chef duo Chris Norman and Alex Norman.
The Paddock has excelled in 2025 having also been awarded two chef hats and a score of 15 by the Australian Good Food Guide.
It is open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner.and is noted for its special occasion events.
One to look at is its Mother’s Day lunch on Sunday, May 11 which will feature two sitting times from 12pm and from 2pm.
While a great meal is on offer at Beechmont Estate they are also noted for the five-star accommodation they provide across a range of individual cabins and pavilions plus a sprawling four bedroom residence that sits atop the Estate for the ultimate group stay.
The estate can also provide guests with a range of on-site experiences including cocktail-making master classes, a daily wine and cheese tasting experience, indulgent picnic hampers and relaxing treatments in the on-site day spa to name just a few.
