Tamborine Mountain College (TMC) proudly hosted its annual ArtsFest on Saturday September 7, continuing a cherished tradition that celebrates the artistic talents of our students. This year’s event brought together families, friends, and community members for a day filled with creative showcases, highlighting the talent within our school.
ArtsFest 2024 featured a wide range of performances and exhibitions. The day began with a captivating two-song showcase from Disney’s The Lion King Jnr by our Primary students. Their performance was a little taste of the full musical which is being held in the second week of Term 4.
The Visual Arts Exhibition provided another highlight, with an impressive display of work from both Primary and Secondary students. The exhibition featured a variety of mediums, including paintings, sculptures, and mixed media pieces, all of which demonstrated the creativity and skill of our budding artists.
Music played a central role in the day’s festivities, with TMC’s Junior and Senior bands delivering standout performances. The bands performed well-known pieces, including Metallica’s Enter Sandman and a medley of songs from Star Wars, to the delight of the audience. The College rock band, Mission Critical, also took to the stage, showcasing their musical abilities.
ArtsFest 2024 was not only a celebration of our students’ artistic achievements but also a reflection of TMC’s commitment to fostering creativity in education. ArtsFest remains a highlight on the TMC calendar, offering a platform for students to express themselves and for the community to celebrate their achievements in the arts.
