The Tamborine Mountain Showgrounds were recently home to the Queensland Tree Climbing Competition (QTCC), where over 28 trade-qualified arborists competed in time trials of a variety of challenges such as the aerial rescue, ascent and the master’s challenge.
The champions of the day won the title of QLD State Champion and will be able to compete in the 2025 International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) International Tree Climbing Championships (ITCC).
Jamie Boston took first place for the males, followed by Jarrah Hamlin in second and Rory Haydock in third.
First place female was Jess Hamer, Julia Steele in second.
