This arboreal termite species occurs in eastern New South Wales and much of coastal Queensland, extending to places a fair way inland.

The soldier termites have rounded heads and yellow-brownish bodies between five and seven mm long.

The nest is located high in the tree.

The termites feed at ground level, creating surface tubes down the tree and subterranean tubes through soil, to feed on wood.
