Jeanne’s plunger might be one of the more unusual props the Zamia Theatre has seen. And she wields it like a pro.
TM Little Theatre’s show, Urinetown: The Musical, which opens tomorrow, has a host of quirky touches … starting with the props and the characters. Jeanne Reynolds plays a mean capitalist lackey, only too ready to do the bidding of water mogul Caldwell B Cladwell, played by long-term theatre member Owen Buckley. She’s mean, he’s worse, the government’s in their pocket, and together they terrorise the downtrodden masses. It’s a bit like Ghostbusters, but with a plumbing twist, and the baddies definitely have the upper hand. Will they get their comeuppance?
