A Fresh Vintage at Witches Falls Winery

There is something particularly exciting about the arrival of a new vintage and the 2026 wines at Witches Falls Winery are certainly something to be excited about.

Fresh, clean and incredibly expressive, these wines are already showing beautiful varietal character and an energy that makes them exceptionally enjoyable in their youth.

The fruit for this vintage was picked between February and March this year, and since then the winemaking team has been busy in the winery, carefully guiding each wine through fermentation, maturation and preparation for bottling.

It is a busy few months in any winery, but there is something especially rewarding about seeing the wines finally reach the stage where they are ready to share.

All of the fruit comes from two very different regions – the Granite Belt in Queensland and the Riverland in South Australia – with every part of the winemaking process taking place on site at Witches Falls, right through to bottling.

Witches Falls Winery is the only working winery on Tamborine Mountain and their cellar door offers the opportunity to taste wines that have been made right here in the region.

The 2026 releases include the new Sauvignon Blanc, Rosé and a selection of other fresh whites, alongside a particularly exciting first for Witches Falls, the winery’s first-ever Prosecco under the Witches Falls label.

Bright, lively and refreshing, it is a new addition to the range and an exciting step into another style of wine.

To showcase the diversity of their wines, they have also introduced a new collection of thoughtfully curated tasting flights.

Each flight has been designed by Witches Falls’ winemaker to bring together wines that complement one another while highlighting the unique character of each variety, vineyard and region.

The Witches Falls Provenance Alternative White Flight explores distinctive white varieties, including the new 2026 Albariño.

Originally from Galicia in north-west Spain, Albariño is known for its vibrant acidity, citrus and stone-fruit characters and fresh, mineral-driven palate.

The Witches Falls Provenance French Red Flight showcases French red varieties, including the newly released 2024 South Australian Shiraz.

The two Wild Ferment Flights explore the fascinating influence of naturally occurring yeasts, with the Select Vineyard Flight demonstrating what wild fermentation can bring to different varieties, while the Caravel Vineyard Flight focuses on fruit from one of their Riverland vineyards.

For sweet-tooth lovers, the Dessert Flight showcases their fortified wines, while the Icon Flight brings together wines from 70+ year-old vines, an estate wine and their top-shelf Prophecy wine.

Together, the flights offer a new way to discover the breadth of Witches Falls – and with the 2026 vintage looking this fresh, expressive and vibrant, there has never been a better time to explore what is being made here on Tamborine Mountain.
