FIRST FULL WEEKEND OF JUNIOR AND DIVISIONAL HOME GAMES ON TAMBORINE MOUNTAIN, AND OUR SENIOR MEN WIN FIVE STRAIGHT GAMES
Despite the rain pulling every trick in the book to stop us from playing football, Tamborine Mountain Eagles were finally able to host a weekend of games at Long Road Sports Centre.
It took until May, but the Eagles boys and girls finally got to wear their new 2025 jerseys at home, with the club hosting more than a dozen games while most teams in the Gold Coast region were forced to close their fields due to the continued rainfall.
While the rain still fell, Eagles teams competed with enthusiasm and spirit in front of the home supporters.
They played some amazing games from the U6s through to the U15s Girls, and scored some incredible goals.
The U7s, U8s, and U9s MiniRoos teams had epic wins, while the Junior Divisional sides mounted a brave fight against strong opposition.
Stepping away from the Saturday morning football, the U18s Div 1 Boys were handed their first defeat of the season in a 4-2 thriller at home.
They sit in third place after a strong result in their opening game.
The Senior Men made it five wins in a row, solidifying their position at the top of the league with a significant 5-0 victory over Pimpama on Wednesday night.
Five different goal scorers found the back of the net as the Eagles Men continue to grow stronger every week.
Three consecutive top-of-the-table clashes saw the Eagles Men facing the toughest teams in the competition, but a 4-1 victory over Ormeau at home and a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Runaway Bay the following week saw the Eagles reign supreme.
Weather permitting, another great weekend of football awaits.
