Locals and visitors will gather at Cauldron Estate and Distillery on Saturday, 31 May for Spirit of the Mountain, the first weekend of this year’s Scenic Rim Eat Local Month.
Set on an 18-acre property in the Hartley Road Winery Precinct, the event will celebrate local culture, cuisine, and community spirit.
It will open with a Welcome to Country from the Wangerriburra people, Traditional Owners of Jambreen (Tamborine Mountain), followed by an afternoon of storytelling, food, and live entertainment.
Guests can graze on seasonal hampers from the Cauldron kitchen, made using locally sourced produce, and sip on the distillery’s Five to Five Gin and newly released Queensland Single Malt Whisky.
Music will take centre stage as Australian singer-songwriter Ben Lee headlines the evening, performing hits such as Catch My Disease, Cigarettes Will Kill You, and We’re All in This Together.
A line-up of local musicians will also perform throughout the afternoon.
Travel will be available with Ray Beaman of Beaman’s Buses which will operate a local pick-up and drop-off service on the Mountain.
He can be contacted on 0405 139 049 for bookings.
The event runs from 2pm to 6pm.
Tickets are $40, with free entry for children under 12.
