THERE was a lot of relief at the end of the day when predicted rain held off for one of Tamborine Mountain Golf Club’s premier events – the King and Queen of the Mountain tournament.

Sponsored by Professionals Serendipity, the event attracted 94 players from across Tamborine Mountain as well as Tweed Heads and Gold Coast.

A Club spokesperson said for a nine hole course it was an excellent field for the competition.

Heavy rain was predicted for Saturday April 20, but it held off until the Sunday, leaving players with almost perfect conditions, light winds, blue skies and one of the most picturesque courses in South East Queensland.

Local players did well on the day, finishing amongst the top players, with Mitch Revie winning the Men’s and Kylie Bennett runner up for the Female competition.
