State member for Scenic Rim, Jon Krause, said Round 123 of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund – Queensland’s largest one-off community grants program – was now open.
“Closure is midnight on the 28 February and applications can be submitted for funding between a minimum of $500 and a maximum of $35,000,” he said.
The fund, which is administered by the Department of Justice and Attorney-General, distributes approximately $60 million each year to not-for-profit community groups to help them provide services, leisure activities and opportunities for Queensland communities.
Since Mr Krause’s election in 2012, Scenic Rim community organisations have received funding of more than $14 million from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
