Shine up your dancing shoes and get your glad rags out … Mountain Mates’ Bush Dance is back! The Mates are already limbering up with a series of workshops with community volunteer Cathy Meehan. ‘The Flying Scotsman’ and ‘The Gallopede’ are already under their belts. You’ll learn these dances in no time at all on the night, and dance your socks off.
This was a sold-out event last year. The dance is on Saturday, 30 August, at the Vonda Youngman Community Centre. Definitely an all-ages, inclusive event.
Cheap entry ($20 pp, $5 children), cheap food ($15), cheap drinks (no BYO). Fabulous music from The Good Tunes Band, ‘best dressed’ prizes, raffles, a silent auction, and an awesome vibe. Organised by the Mates, an activity of the TM Lions Club, to raise money for the group’s continuing activities.
