Tamborine Mountain year 12 students celebrated finishing high school with graduation ceremonies and formals.
Tamborine Mountain College held it’s formal at Seaworld while Tamborine Mountain State High School had it’s at the Gold Coast Turf Club.
It was a chance to relax and celebrate the end of their school lives.
Tamborine Mountain State High School student Rylan Christiansen, 17 said he is looking forward to a hard-earned break.
“I’m happy and excited and glad to be finished and be able to get out in the real world. I’m looking forward to putting some money away and make new experiences,” he said.
With the cost of living nowadays Rylan aims to spend the next year saving either working full time or doing fly in fly out work in the mines.
Eva Oxley from Tamborine Mountain College said it feels scary, but a step forward.
“It’s very freeing,” she said.
“I’m looking forward to doing more of what I want to achieve, rather than what the school has planned – forging my own path.”
