For Tamborine Mountain’s U13s JPL Boys, the 2025 season has been a labour of grit, courage, and perseverance.
An ambitious group, the boys commenced their season competing in Division 1, before dominant results in the first two games saw the boys promoted to the Junior Premier League.
With a squad of only eleven players, our U13s stepped into the highest division as massive underdogs, but they faced down the challenge with incredible composure and determination.
It took three straight defeats before the JPL Boys snatched their first point of the season, fighting from four goals down in a remarkable 5-5 draw at home against Broadbeach United.

They continued to dominate after a tough series of losses, delivering their best football with a 5-0 and a 5-2 victory over Gold Coast United, before demolishing Coomera Colts 4-0 on the road.
Heading into the final game of the season, away against Gold Coast Knights, the JPL Boys showcased their finest football in their two years under Coaches Chandler and Christian.

Despite playing with their backs against the wall all season, the boys managed to secure a mid-table finish, winning six games in a brave campaign that saw them keep four cleansheets, score 44 goals, and draw once.
In their 18 games in the JPL, the full team was only available on three occasions, which is a testament to how hard they battled with so few resources compared to their opponents.
The boys have shown remarkable growth on and off the field in their last two seasons and are now fired up to build on their success in 2026.
