The Tamborine Mountain State School Parents & Citizens’ Association (TMSS P&C) has proudly taken home two prestigious awards at the 2025 P&Cs Qld Awards, announced at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre on Saturday 7 June.
The association was recognised for its outstanding contribution to the school community, winning both the Eco Sustainability Award and the Fundraising Impact Award at the annual event hosted by P&Cs Qld—Queensland’s peak body for school P&C associations.
The Eco Sustainability Award acknowledges the P&C’s commitment to environmentally conscious practices across all aspects of its operations—from waste reduction initiatives at monthly markets to sustainable fundraising efforts and its support of a more eco-friendly school environment.
The Fundraising Impact Award celebrates the significant results achieved through the P&C’s creative and inclusive fundraising strategies, which have directly supported key school projects and enhanced student experiences.
TMSS P&C President Scott Tragis and Business Operations Manager Claire Aberdeen attended the two-day P&Cs Qld Conference (6–7 June) and proudly accepted the awards on behalf of their dedicated volunteer team and the broader Tamborine Mountain State School community.
“These awards are an incredible recognition of the time, energy and heart that goes into everything our P&C does. We’re proud to represent a community that consistently shows up to support our school—and each other—in meaningful ways,” said Claire, P&C Business Operations Manager.
The double win places TMSS P&C among the leading school associations in Queensland, highlighting what’s possible when passionate volunteers, supportive families, and strong school partnerships work together with purpose.
