After more than twenty years as part of the Tamborine Mountain community, the time has come to say goodbye to The Closet on Main.
A small space with a big heart, this boutique has never been just about clothing.
Those twenty-plus years represent the passion, vision and dedication of a number of different owners, each bringing their own unique style, personality and ideas to the boutique.
Each has left their own imprint, helping shape The Closet on Main into the much-loved destination it has become.
It has been a privilege to add my own chapter to that story – helping women feel confident, comfortable and beautifully themselves.
It has been about finding garments with character rather than simply following fashion; balancing quality with affordability, practicality with quiet luxury, and celebrating the beauty of both new and carefully chosen reloved pieces.
It has been about caring where something comes from and how it is made, because these things matter just as much as the label sewn into it.
As I close the doors to The Closet on Main, I do so with sadness, but also with immense gratitude.
Retail fashion is constantly evolving, but one thing has remained unchanged: the pleasure of engaging with the wonderfully diverse group of people who live up here on Tamborine Mountain and the genuinely lovely visitors who have found their way to Main Street and the boutique.
To everyone who wandered in ‘just for a look’, became a regular face, shared a laugh, trusted my advice, or simply stopped to chat, thank you.
Your loyalty, kindness and friendship have made this little boutique far more than a business.
The closing down sale will also be a wonderful opportunity to welcome you back one last time.

Just a small reminder too that while the best bargains may come later, the best selection is available now.
If you’ve had your eye on something special, don’t leave it too long. The boutique’s last trading day will be Saturday August 22, 2026.
