WHEN recent storms swept through the Tamborine Mountain Community Kindergarten (TMCK) was left exposed – with power outages, a leaking roof, and a front entrance that was slowly washing away with repeated weather events.
Thanks to a $50,000 grant from the RACQ Foundation, TMCK has been able to turn those challenges into real resilience.
This generous donation has gone towards much needed repairs and upgrades, including roof repairs, installing a solar energy system to support sustainability, and purchasing a generator, to keep the kindergarten operational during power outages.
Concrete works are about to commence to give families a safer entrance to the kindergarten, including a disability access path.
These upgrades mean so much more than just fixing things — they give parents peace of mind and our children a safe place to learn and play.
