You am I frontman Tim Rogers is set to rock the mountain for the second time at a special performance at St Bernards on December 6.
As the lead of one of Australia’s seminal rock ‘n’ roll bands, Tim Rogers has released 10 studio albums, three of which have debuted at number one in consecutive order.
He’s also enjoyed an extensive solo career and numerous musical side projects.
And now he’s thrilled to be returning to play on Tamborine Mountain.
“When you’re asked, ‘you want to come up the mountain and rearrange your creations’ and you cannot think of any possible reason not to,” he joked.
“To discover new sounds, new possibilities from humble lil’ daydreams and you feel like a part of a community, an art, a collective.”
He added there was nothing cynical or prescribed about what he wanted to create.
Of course, there will be many well-known favourites played from the rich tapestry of Tim Rogers’ back catalogue.
Tim Rogers ‘De-arranged with Pete Neville Nine and Toby Angus will be presented in a unique theatre style as a three-part musical journey of tunes arranged by esteemed composer and arranger, Richard Percival.
Pete Neville Nine boasts a six-piece horn section and a three-piece rhythm section of vibraophone, double bass and drums.
Toby Angus the frontman of local band Blind Corners will be adding his dreamy, nostalgic vocals to a solo acoustic set.
The event is all ages with children under 12 free.
