If you’ve been around the clinic already this year you may have noticed two new faces.
We’re excited to welcome Griffith University Gold Coast new graduates, Flynn Holmes and Shem Lonsdale to the Physique team.
Having recently completed their university training, they bring:
- Current best-practice knowledge
- Strong clinical reasoning skills
- A keen and proactive approach to learning
- Time, energy, and focus for each patient
At Physique, our graduates don’t work in isolation.
They’re supported by structured mentoring, regular clinical discussions, and close collaboration with senior physios, ensuring every patient benefits from both fresh perspective and experienced oversight.
We care just as much about who someone is as we do about their clinical skills. The way a physio listens, explains, encourages, and builds trust matters.
We’ve seen these traits in Flynn and Shem and we are so excited to have them join the team.
This takes our physio team to nine treating physiotherapists, each bringing their own experience and interest areas to ensure we are providing quality services across the spectrum of physiotherapy.
Meet Flynn: Flynn has a very friendly and warm personality. He has a strong interest in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy and is passionate about helping individuals build confidence in their bodies and feel supported through every stage of recovery.
Flynn has grown up and lived on the Gold Coast his entire life and has a passion for all things outdoors. In his spare time you’ll usually find him camping, fishing, hiking or anywhere outside. Flynn loves his AFL, playing in and officiating local AFL matches for around 10 years. These passions shape Flynn’s appreciation for how movement fits into real life.
Meet Shem: Shem brings a calm, thoughtful approach to physiotherapy, with a strong focus on helping people feel heard, understood and cared for. Shem has a drive to help others and in his spare time volunteers with youth groups and outreach programs. This compassion and desire to help others is what makes him a great physiotherapist. Shem also grew up on the Gold Coast, and like Flynn is an avid outdoorsman which made spending time on the mountain even more appealing for him.
Whether you’re managing pain, returning to activity, or simply wanting to move better in your day-to-day life, Flynn and Shem are here to support you with empathy, professionalism, and genuine care.
We’re proud to have them as part of the Physique team and look forward to the positive impact they’ll continue to make.
Appointments with Flynn and Shem are now available. Medicare care plans from the GP will be bulk billed. Give us a call at the clinic to book in.
