TAMBORINE Mountain Netball Club won two of the six age groups at the annual Scenic Rim Netball Carnival which drew teams from Tamborine Mountain, Beechmont and Fassifern clubs to the Beaudesert home ground.
Beaudesert and District Netball Association President, Susan Wynne said it was a great day.
“It was so great to see all eight of our courts, including the three newly completed grass courts filled with happy, enthusiastic boys and girls loving playing netball,” she said.
There were 95 games played and a total of 1,857 goals scored on the day.
Tamborine won 27 of their games, second only to Beaudesert who won 28 games with Fassifern on 19 and Beechmont on 11.
Winners for all age groups were:
7/8 – First Beechmont, second Fassifern, third Tamborine.
9/10 – Winner – Tamborine 2, runner up – Beaudesert 2.
11/12 – Winner – Beaudesert 4, runner up – Fassifern 5.
13/14 – Winner -Fassifern 6, runner up – Tamborine 8.
15/17 – Winner – Tamborine 9, runner up – Tamborine 10.
Open/Mixed – Winner Beaudesert 10, runner up – Beaudesert 9.
