Tamborine Mountain College (TMC) marked a milestone on the academic calendar with the 2024 Awards and Graduation Ceremony, held at the prestigious Home of the Arts (HOTA). 

The event showcased the dedication and achievements of students from Year 3 through to Year 12, highlighting their academic and cocurricular accomplishments. 

The day was particularly significant for the graduating Class of 2024, who took centre stage in a heartfelt ceremony celebrating their success. 

Special guests who attended were TMC Board Directors and Members of the Company: Chair Mr Lance Cordingley, Mr Michael Kyle, Ms Sheila Ponting, Ms Vanessa Bull, Mr Raymond Cantrell, Ms Alicia Haynes, TMC Company Member, Mrs Maureen Nicholls and Former College Principal, Mrs June Melbourne, Scenic Rim Regional Councillor Mayor, Councillor Tom Sharp, Scenic Rim Regional Council Councillor Amanda Hay Division 1, Scenic Rim Regional Council, Councillor Kerri Cryer Division 2, Lion David Kirkpartick and special guest, Mrs Trish Kyle.

A series of prestigious awards recognising exceptional achievements across academics, sports, arts, leadership, and community service were presented to students. 

Students, proudly dressed in their TMC attire, took to the stage one by one, greeted by enthusiastic applause from the audience. The awards highlighted the diverse talents and accomplishments within the student body, underscoring TMC’s commitment to well-rounded and high-achieving individuals.

The Tamborine Mountain College Awards and Graduation Ceremony was brought to life with upbeat artistic performances, as students showcased their talents and their dynamic music program. These performances highlighted TMC’s commitment to balancing creativity with academic excellence.

As the ceremony continued into the early afternoon, a pinnacle moment arrived with the presentation of graduation certificates to the Year 12 cohort. 

Beaming smiles and joyful tears filled the room as graduates and their families celebrated this significant and special milestone.

The ceremonial walk across the stage marked their transition from students to graduates, symbolising both accomplishment and the promising futures awaiting them.
