TAMBORINE Mountain Orchestra is proud to present Spring on the Mountain—a joyful two-concert series celebrating the vibrant colours of music and the power of collaboration.
The first concert, Southern Skies, takes place on Thursday August 21 at 7pm and promises an evening of soaring soundscapes and virtuosic artistry. In this one-hour performance, the Orchestra is joined by the renowned Southern Cross Soloists special guests Margaret Blades (violin), Ashley Smith (clarinet), and Tim Munro (flute).
Audiences will be enchanted as Margaret performs Vivaldi’s Spring from The Four Seasons, a lively and beloved work that brings the season to life. Ashley will shine in the lyrical second movement of Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, a piece known for its beauty and emotional depth.
The celebration continues with Small Wonders on Sunday September 14, at 2.30pm—a concert of short, vibrant works performed by the Orchestra and small ensembles. With its relaxed atmosphere and delightful variety, Small Wonders is a testament to the big musical spirit thriving in our community.
The TMO greatly appreciates the assistance of TMSHS for the use of their wonderful auditorium for our concerts and rehearsals. We also thank our sponsor Claudia Aguiar from Mountain Dental Care and the generous support of The Scenic Rim Regional Council.
Tickets are just $12 per concert, or enjoy both for a special price of $20.
