Over four fast and furious days of filming, Pip Courtney and cameraman Curtis Rodda explored the eastern Scenic Rim, focussing on the importance of local newspapers and picking up other stories along the way.
Ms Courtney interviewed the directors of Scenic Rim Media – Kate Cahill, Susie Cunningham and Keer Moriarty at their Beaudesert office before exploring Canungra and Tamborine Mountain.
They attended the Vietnam Veteran’s Day service at Kokoda Barracks, talking to locals after the service, including Tamborine Mountain RSL Sub Branch President Phill Hunter, before heading up the mountain.
Filming on the mountain included an interview with Cr Amanda Hay and a cameo appearance by Alick Kilsby, who Ms Courtney described as “the Brad Pitt of the mountain”.
The ABC Landline story is expected to air in the next three weeks.
