Golf day supports Motor Neurone Disease

MANY local golfers will recall Phil Rogers’ enthusiasm and love for the game of golf, especially on his favourite golf course on Tamborine Mountain.

Those who knew Phil and his wife Rach will also recall how, together, they stoically fought the bitter battle with Motor Neurone Disease.

Knowing the slow progress of this much feared disease Rach decided to raise funds, both in memory of her beloved husband, but also to help with funding of research to eventually combat this disease.

Listed below are details of entry for the Phil Rogers Golf Day.

For those who perhaps are not into the game of golf but would like to contribute, monetary donations can be made in person at Suncorp, L5 Main Street, North Tamborine or online at www.mndaq.org.au/campaign/66/philsgolfday.

This will be the second commemorative game of golf in honour of Phil Rogers.

Golfers on the day will play 18 holes Ambrose style on Phil’s favourite Hinterland golf course, Tamborine Mountain Golf Course.

Register individually or as a team of four.

Registration, coffee and breakfast roll from 7am to ensure everyone is ready for a shotgun start at 8am.

The day will finish with a hot buffet lunch and fund raising activities.

Funds raised on the day will go to the charity MND Queensland, who supported Phil and continue to support many other Queenslanders with their fight with Motor Neurone Disease.

The cost is $100 per player which includes all green fees, a welcome pack and lunch.

Come together to celebrate life, connection and support.
