Jenny can now say it’s one of the best in Oz

If you love to spread some crunchy peanut butter on a slice of hot toast in the morning we have some exciting news for you.

A local small-batch food producer has just taken out the gold medal for her recipe at one of the biggest agricultural shows in Australia.

Jenny White from Mount Alford is often seen at local markets selling her selection of home-made chutneys, jams and peanut butter and over the past two years has won a dedicated local following.

Many have told her it’s the best peanut butter they have tasted, so she thought she’d put that to the test in the 2026 Sydney Royal Fine Food Show.

To keep her jar of peanut butter company she also sent down a jar of both her beetroot and mango chutneys.

She said she was hopeful, but when the judges came back with gold for her peanut butter, silver for the beetroot chutney and bronze for the mango chutney she was floored.

When asked what her secret recipe was to success, she just said it was love and care combined with all Australian ingredients.

“Unlike many of the big peanut butter makers whose products you see at the supermarkets my jar’s ingredients are based on Kingaroy grown peanuts and Australian sea salt.

“I don’t have a big production facility at our farm, it’s just me and that’s the way it will stay at the moment.

“It’s my permanent job and it enables me to work around raising two young girls with the help of my husband Dan who is a high school teacher at Boonah.”

Jenny said Dan was her chief food taster although he has never dipped a spoon into her gold medal winning peanut butter because he has a nut allergy.

“He does occasionally get asked to deliver a jar to the teacher’s room and just nods when staff say how good it is,” she laughed.

You don’t need to only search for Jenny at a local market as she is now getting more support from local shops to stock her products.

“I am always on the lookout for other shops and hopefully this latest success may help in promoting more to contact me.”

Jenny markets her products under Pine Tree Pocket Pantry and is now busily adding gold medal stickers to her jars of award-winning peanut butter.

Get in quick though, it’s now officially finger licking’ good.
