Get out your flares and get ready to boogie to the Wayward Johnsons’ inaugural 70s tribute show at St Bernard’s Hotel on the 14th of September.

The local six-piece band is made up of four dads and three of their sons, John and Tom Quirk, Steve and Joe Denley and John and Euan Schomberg and Alex Grodecki.

Alex and Tom have recently joined as the horns section to add a great new groove to their sound.

Boasting three Queensland Conservatorium of Music alumni in Joe, John Quirk and

Alex and with local sound engineer Devin Starasts joining the team for their live shows audiences can expect an accomplished and explosive musical experience.

“We wanted to take things to the next level in terms of our professionalism and we’ve landed on our feet with Devin joining us as sound engineer for our live performances,” Steve said.

“We are stoked to be able to support the Tamborine Mountain music industry.”

“We love the Tamborine Mountain community and the awesome party vibe that community brings to our shows.  It’s such a privilege and also just such great fun to be able to bring people together and play as part of this amazing community.”

The Wayward Johnsons have been building a local following and are now excited to add an exclusively 70s tribute show to their repertoire featuring favourites from ABBA, the Rolling Stones and The Doobie Brothers.

Tickets are available online through stickytickets.com.au and kids are free.
