Underground water management: Please consider providing feedback as this impacts Tamborine Mountain. The Plan will replace the water moratorium in place since 06 March 2020 and formalises current arrangements,allowing take of water for stock and domestic, agriculture (less than 10ha irrigable area), town water supply, coordinated projects, and authorised existing use.

Signage: Following complaints from residents, Council has installed “No camping or overnight parking” signs at the entry to the carpark on MacDonnell Road.
Development application public notification to commence: MCU25/144 – 17-23 Slingsby Road – application to validate existing cottage behind main house as a dual occupancy rather than a second dwelling “so that the two dwellings can be strata titled or rented out separately”.
Approved: MCU25/116 – 368-346 Bartle Rd – B&B and hydrotherapy rehab. In existing buildings; MCU25/092 – 222 Beacon Rd – extension to exiting house; CAR25/098 – two un-enclosed carports.
The Kidd Street and Macdonnell Road retirement facility applications are still under assessment.
Recent reported issues/enquiries October 2025 on the Mountain: Neighbourhood tree disputes, loss of trade resulting from Main Roads works on Main Western Rd (not Council matters), noise complaint re house construction on Sundays, lots of enquiries re starting B and Bs, operating water trucks from unapproved property, tree removal (including one sensible request from a tree removalist asking if approval is required before the trees are removed – a novel approach – let’s hope it catches on!), trading hours on Gallery Walk, sub-division of a large property or multiple dwellings (not permitted), unapproved structures, missing pool fencing, unlawful dual occupancy (identified by a canny solicitor), stray cats, unrestrained dogs, rooster (and duck!) noise nuisances, lack of public toilet maintenance, green waste in recycling bin (not collected) and overgrown properties.
