Complaints about short-term accommodation – owners are urged to be more involved in the booking process following a spate of complaints relating to “party houses”, loud guests and excessive numbers on site.
The dingo/wild dog issue – Council is not using 1080 baits but is continuing its trapping efforts.
I was disappointed to hear that a property owner who had allowed the placement of a trap had been targeted by those whose views differ. Please respect that everyone is entitled to their own views.
Planning applications – all quiet on the Mountain for the past couple of weeks however there have been P&E Court appeals lodged in respect of refused applications. One of these was for the dog breeding/boarding and doggy daycare (MCU23/090) at 1-9 Donald Court, Tamborine. Note: This business is in no way associated with the approved and legally operating kennels at Tamborine Pet Farmstay located on Beaudesert-Beenleigh Road, Tamborine. Please do your own research before jumping to conclusions which may have negative impacts on legitimate businesses.
Out and about – Coffee with a Copper (thankyou to Richard for the $50 donation towards the coffees and to the three senior constables who turned up in spite of the weather), five budget meetings, strategy workshop, biosecurity scenario response training readiness workshop, opening of Price Creek Bridge, Save Canungra Golf Club site visit (Defence land asset proposed to be sold off), a Special Meeting, briefing session, TMSA meeting, Domestic & Family Violence breakfast, Local Disaster Group, Australian Citizenship ceremony, two portfolio briefings, site visits to St Bernard St (road surface issues) and walked the length of the Long Rd footpath from Gallery Walk to Tamborine Mountain State School. The footpath is in poor condition and presents multiple trip hazards and poor drainage, all of which require work. Thank you to concerned parents for bringing this to my attention.
