TAMBORINE Mountain’s Charlotte Stubbs has claimed the coveted title of 2024 Beaudesert Showgirl, after strong entries in the Beaudesert Show Ambassador competition this year.

Ms Stubbs became aware of the Show Ambassador program after Coordinator Tim Andrews reached out to her about it.

“I had thought it was a beauty pageant but that was so far from the truth,” she said.

“It is all about raising the profile for the show.”

The young solicitor, who was admitted to the bar in February this year, completed a written questionnaire, an interview with members of the Beaudesert Show Society and filmed a two minute video as part of the application process.

The video addressed where the entrants saw themselves in five years as well as issues facing young people in rural and regional Queensland.

Beaudesert local Brianna Turner, who is currently studying Bio Medical Science, was the 2024 Beaudesert Showgirl runner-up.

Mr Andrews  beamed with pride at the tremendous turnout and the exceptional quality of the entrants.

“This year’s Ambassador Afternoon was a testament to the remarkable individuals who embody the essence of Beaudesert Show,” he said.

“The level of talent and passion displayed by the participants was nothing short of inspiring.”

Chloe Taylor seized the spotlight as the victorious 2024 Rural Ambassador, while Poppi-Anna Edwards wowed everyone to become the Junior Show Ambassador, with Sophie Ward declared the runner-up, amidst tough competition from all entrants.

The winners and all entrants will attend community events across the Scenic Rim and will attend Beaudesert Show on September 6 and 7.

“Keep an eye out for the Beaudesert Show 2024 Ambassadors at local events and stay updated on their adventures on Instagram @beauyshowambassadors,” added Mr Andrews.
