Tamborine Mountain Regional Botanic Gardens are open again and the volunteer team is preparing for a massive two-day plant sale this weekend to help raise much-needed funds.

The plant sale will be open from 8am to noon on Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28 at the Bobby White propagation pavilion at the southern end of the Gardens.

According to volunteer Bobby White, a major attraction will be deep orange clivias. They are in full bloom around the gardens right now.

“We are offering bare-rooted clivias in full flower ready for planting,” she says. “We also have a fabulous collection of succulents and ferns for sale at great prices.”

All proceeds from the sale go to the ongoing repairs and maintenance of the Botanic Gardens.

Bobby says: “A favourite right now is star jasmine with its delightful fragrance. And there are so many more species ready for home gardens.

“We do ask that our visitors bring their own bags or boxes to take their purchases to the car park as we simply do not have enough supply.”

Vehicles will be available to help plant enthusiasts to take their prize purchases to their cars and the team can accept cash or card for payment.

A succulent sausage sizzle will be held close to the plant pavilion on both days.
