Tamborine Mountain will cement itself as a destination for motorbike enthusiasts with the establishment of a new museum dedicated to two wheels approved by Scenic Rim Regional Council.
The old Bavarian Haus on Main Western Road will be turned into a motorbike museum after council voted unanimously to approve the new tourist venue.
Councillor Amanda Hay said it was good to see a proposed development complimenting the current tourism offerings on the mountain, which would provide a very different tourism attraction.
She said concerns were raised by the community about the potential noise from the “motorbike brigade” however, if it was an issue, it would be a police matter and not council.
