A unique opportunity to buy award recognised paintings will be held later this month when well-known Scenic Rim Artist, Susan Lhamo, opens her home for her first Open Studio sale.
The celebrated artist, who was a finalist in the Sulman Prize in 2025, is inviting art-lovers to come along to see works she has hung over the past few years throughout her home.
“In all I will have about 20 pieces of varying sizes on offer and I have decided to keep all the paintings under $1950,” she said.
“As well I will also have some of my framed digital artworks which are not AI generated for around $200.
“The paintings represent more than three years of my work.
“I have decided on doing the sale at home so the pieces can be displayed in a natural setting and not just in an overcrowded art studio.”
A number of paintings on offer have been featured in art awards with many receiving high recognitions.
Susan describes her style as Abstract Expressionism inspired by nature’s colors and shapes.
She paints vibrant abstract artworks that emerge from intuitive and imagined spaces, creating connections between the physical world and the inner landscapes of the psyche.
Susan said she will be available during the exhibition to discuss the possibility of creating a one off work to a requested size and color palette.
The Open Studio Sale will be held on the weekend of October 31-November 1 between 10am to 4pm on each day at her home at 44-48 Sierra Drive, Mt Tamborine.
Examples of the artwork that will be on offer can be seen on Susan’s website: www.susanlhamo.com.
