Volunteering – A work of heart

Tamborine Mountain Community Care Association (TMCAA) is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation overseen by an elected management Committee of volunteers, which aims to promote collaborative working relationships with the federal and state governments and members of the local and wider community.

Our vision is to provide and advocate for services to enable residents who are aged to continue to live independently and with dignity in their homes on Tamborine Mountain.

Why Volunteer

Volunteering is a rewarding way in which an eligible person can participate in the activities of their community while enrichening their life experiences as well as those of others.

Many of our programs rely on committed volunteers, to provide seamless services.

Volunteering can help one develop personally, extend social networks, work in an area of personal interest, gain a range of experiences in order to improve employment prospects, enrich and expand personal life experiences, acquire, enhance or extend personal knowledge and skills and be productive in the community.

As a volunteer, you offer your time, skills and experience to benefit the community at large and in return, will receive a sense of fulfilment that arises from serving others.

Volunteering Roles

Volunteers at TMCCA assist staff with activities that support our community members in the areas of administration and reception, assisting at group events and on bus trips, driving clients to and from medical appointments and shopping trips, management committee (currently seeking those with expertise in governance, finances, employment law).
