A NEW Taste of Country event will be held on Sunday November 3 as the flavour finale to the Scenic Rim Trail which this year showcases music and cultural experiences over three days.
The Trail is organised by Queensland Music Festival in partnership with the Scenic Rim Council and the Queensland Government.
Taste of Country will be held on Mununjali Country at The Overflow Estate 1895, where resident French chef Olivier Boudon will create a menu fusing local and French cuisine.
The event will combine fine food, wine and music against the backdrop of vineyards overlooking Lake Wyaralong.
Visitors will be offered a laid-back music on the lawn picnic experience, or an indulgent gourmet dining event where they will be served unique dishes that combine Mununjali and French cuisine.
Dishes will include Wattleseed Sourdough and Finger Lime Butter, Lemon Myrtle crusted crocodile tail, smoked kangaroo with bush tomato and onion balsamic jam and toasted Macadamia Bush Rosemary sweet potato mash.
