Tamborine Mountain College (TMC) proudly celebrated a milestone year with the 2025 Awards and Graduation Ceremony, held at the impressive Robina Community Centre Auditorium. In this special 30th Anniversary year, the event honoured students from Year 3 through to Year 12, recognising their academic, cultural, sporting, and leadership achievements. For the graduating Class of 2025, the ceremony marked a heartfelt and historic moment as they completed their final chapter in TMC’s 30th year of Lighting Up Young Minds.
Distinguished guests in attendance included TMC Board Directors and Members of the Company: Chair Mr Lance Cordingley, Mr Michael Kyle, Ms Sheila Ponting, Ms Vanessa Bull, Mr Raymond Cantrell, Ms Alicia Haynes, Mr Kevin Lynch, Scenic Rim Regional Councillor Mayor Councillor Tom Sharp, Councillor Amanda Hay (Division 1), Councillor Kerri Cryer (Division 2), Lion David Kirkpatrick, and special guest Fiona Campbell, HOTA Education Coordinator.
A series of prestigious awards recognised exceptional achievements across academics, sports, the arts, leadership, and community service. Proudly dressed in their TMC attire, students took to the stage one by one, receiving applause from families and friends who filled the auditorium. The awards reflected the breadth of talent within the College and underscored TMC’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded, high-achieving individuals.
The ceremony showcased TMC’s vibrant music programs through dynamic performances that brought energy and creativity to the stage, affirming the College’s long standing dedication to balancing academic excellence with artistic expression.
A defining moment of the night came with the presentation of graduation certificates to the Year 12 cohort. Beaming smiles, warm embraces, and joyful tears filled the auditorium as families celebrated this significant milestone with their graduates. The traditional walk across the stage symbolised not only the culmination of their schooling but also their readiness to embrace the bright futures ahead, carrying with them the light that TMC has ignited for 30 years.
