BUSINESS Chamber Tamborine Mountain’s Business Breakfast gave local businesses the chance to hear Scenic Rim Mayor Tom Sharp.
Interviewed by Anne Hardy, Mayor Sharp gave an insight into his life growing up on Beechmont, and his vision for the Scenic Rim.
Sharp clarified that the vision for the region must be that of the community, not his alone.
“Ninety per cent of businesses in the Scenic Rim are small businesses and it is a great driver of our economy,” he said.
“The big change from when I grew up there is population impact. The dynamics are different today due to population growth.”
