A beauty brand based on Tamborine Mountain has taken out gold in the national Organic Beauty Awards.
Kibi Raw Minerals, owned by Jacqueline South, won the Editor’s Choice Award for its mineral foundation powder.
“I was thrilled to receive such a prestigious award from the leaders in this space. It gives me confirmation I’m doing something right,” Jacqueline said.
“When you are recognised for the intention you have in your product and showing you don’t have to use filler or binders in your products is wonderful.”
Over 650 brands competed in the awards.
One of the judges, Amina Kitching, Founder and Editor LOAEL global beauty group described the makeup range as one of the purest that acts like skincare.
“Their BB Creme +30 is the perfect 3-in-1 natural sunscreen, AM face cream and natural coverage, that hydrates and preps the skin for a natural flawless glow,” she said.
“Their foundation and bronzer powders give buildable coverage and contour with a five-star ingredient rating, makeup doesn’t get any cleaner than Kibi’s Raw Minerals.”
Jacqueline is a skin therapist and beauty educator with 38 years’ experience, which she said gives her a strong foundation in what the skin needs.
Her passion is educating women on making good choices with their makeup and what they are putting on their skin.
“Having clean ingredients that aren’t adding to the toxic load on your body is important. These products are designed to enhance your beauty with skincare/makeup safe, ethically sourced, sustainable ingredients,” she explained.
She said the minerals are custom blended for Australian skins and conditions with an SPF of 30 in the BB Creme.
Last year the Illuminating Bronzer took out the vegan choice award.
