Erebidae Moth – Mocis trifasciata, dwelling, Eagle Heights.
As I told Peter Hendry when I sent him the photo, it is an all too rare occurrence finding him a new moth to identify.
I took it in the second week of April, just over six months to the day since the previous time.
The species is found in the south west Pacific Region and in Australia in Western Australia, Northern Territory, Queensland, Norfolk Island and New South Wales. Wingspan is 4.5 cm.
